Google Checkout?
#1
I've heard about this for a while but never used it. Is there an advantage? I'm placing an online order, and that's one of the options. Normally I'd just give my credit card info.

no real advantage to you as a buyer. Some sellers prefer it as fees can be lower than paypal and/or other CC processors.

For major purchases, I still prefer to use my CC, simply so I have some recourse in the event of a fouled-up transaction, or for the warranty coverage that it offers.

Thanks, clay. I'll just do it the usual way - it's been working for years! Smile

there were several discounts a while ago, in particular $10 off any order at buy.com, I made several email accounts and used virtual CC numbers several times to get a few items for free or very very cheap, since then I have not used it.

I really like Google Checkout. Been using it for quite awhile, maybe since it came out.

I went ahead and charged today's purchase on my Amex, since I'd never used the vendor before, but please tell me what you like about Google checkout. This was just the first of the online Christmas shopping! Thank you.
