This seems really odd to me, but it is repeatable.
My son dusted off his old Diablo game last night to play online with a friend. They were in VoIP at the same time (both Skype and Gizmo tried).
After a few minutes, the mic on his USB headset would go dead. No amount of manipulating of the settings would fix it. So he pulled the USB connection and plugged it in again. This causes an immediate cursor and keyboard freeze (both are also USB, and no I don't know if a scale would stop working...) and eventually a kernel panic.
The headset works great with World of Warcraft. Both Diablo and the headset work great separately. In trying various combinations , this happened reliably, three times in a row. We did a Permissions repair.
Any ideas? Heard of this before?
This is a dual 2.5 running 10.3.9, fully up to date.
