. . .and seems to have gotten his wish. . .

. . .your storyline might suck but why leave a hit show?. . .being in a hit show isn't that easy. . . and many actors have left successful TV shows hoping to make it big in movies and not many do. . .?

Insider: T.R. Knight wants to leave `Grey's'

A person with direct knowledge of the situation has confirmed that T.R. Knight has asked to be released from his contract with "Grey's Anatomy."

The actor, who plays Dr. George O'Malley, has asked to leave the ABC medical drama because he is unhappy with his storyline, the person said. Knight has three years left on his contract and the network has indicated it will release him, said the insider, who could not be identified because that person was not authorized to discuss negotiation details.

An ABC representative declined comment.

Entertainment Weekly magazine first reported news of Knight's request Tuesday in a posting at ew.com. Writer Michael Ausiello quoted a person at ABC who was not identified as saying that the show and "Grey's" creator Shonda Rhimes were prepared to let the 35-year-old actor go.

NIGHTy..NIGHT. . .

Wonder if he consulted with David Caruso before he made his decision.

Maybe he's just sick of doing it.

You mean they've been giving him a story line lately? If he's unhappy with it, I can understand why. He went from being one of the main characters to being some lump in left field the writers presented with a few lines occasionally. It's not that I'm going to miss him particularly, but I've noticed the struggle to get the character to fit in, and the struggle has been coming out on top.

I swear, GA is one of those shows I don't really like all that much but yet I manage to see it almost every week.

I agree, they have abandoned his character and he really doesn't have much to do at this point.

It's because the TV selections are so pathetic! I keep watching it, too, although I never feel bad when I miss an episode.
