Restaurant.com warning
#1
Hi, we purchased some of those gift certificates from Restaurant.com and when we got here at the resort, they said they don't participate in this program, but offered us a complimentary appetizer and dessert. So be warned that if those $25 gift certificates that you can buy for $10 (or less when on sale) seem too good to be true, they are too good to be true.

We had a positive experience with this web site about a year ago when we use the for the first time, but the second try was a miss...

Winner here with a local eatery, no issues, mid November.

That is disingenuous on the resort's part and undoubtedly a blatant violation of their advertising agreement with the website. They didn't show up all by themselves on that website! I suggest you contact restaurant.com right away.

I've been taking advantage of restaurant, com certificates for years and, for the most part, had no problems with them.

There was a case where several restaurants had closed and they gave me credit for those certificates to be applied to another restaurant.

Call them after the 1st.

I purchased about $300 worth of discounts in Nov. when someone posted here and have used one $25 discount and a $75 discount without a hitch. When I made the reservation, I did ask if they were accepting the coupons first.

Space,

Restaurant.com usually gives you notice when a restaurant stops participating in their program and gives you a credit on your account to use towards a different certificate. It's up to you to contact restaurant.com and take advantage of it. Also, if a restaurant says they won't accept the voucher, contact restaurant.com and appraise them of the situation. they'll credit your account so you can get a new certificate.

We had no problems using one a couple of weeks ago. I suspect you got screwed by the actual restaurant.

I've used dozens of those certificates over the past few years and never had a problem.
