Still no luck with Automator
#1
1. Get Specified Finder Items (the startup chime)
2. Open Finder Items (Open with QuickTime)
3. Quit Application. (Quit QuickTime)

I saved this an an application & it does everything except play the sound file. I tried adding a pause before the 3rd step but it still doesn't play the sound.

Help!!

Doc solved this problem in an earlier thread.

do shell script "afplay /Users/[whoever you are]/Mac/[where ever the file is stored]/Mac_Startup_Sound.aif"

After everything loads, the familiar Mac startup chime plays.
This is a good thing!
