This was my favorite.:
Snippety Snip.:
"(10-23-99) 04:00 PDT YOSEMITE -- A protest against rules banning the sport of parachuting from cliffs in national parks went horribly awry yesterday when a veteran jumper plunged to her death from the top of El Capitan in Yosemite."
The Ironic Snippet.:
"Davis went over the edge about 2 p.m., a National Park Service spokesman said, the fourth of five jumpers planning to demonstrate the safety of the sport known as BASE jumping."
Linky.:

BGnR
Not in the story linked, but Jan Davis had borrowed a friends gear because the park rangers were going to confiscate the jumpers equipment and she didn't want to lose her expensive equipment.
Hmmmm..., I guess it don't matter now.
