While I appreciate the convenience of an address like firstname.lastname@wherever.com, I think that is an invitation to privacy invasion. It is the policy of at least my last employer and while there, I spent more time each morning deleting spam from my company mailbox than I did responding to interoffice communications.

But that's why corporate networks run bug expensive firewalls and spam blocking servers. Your former employer's IT depts were not on the ball.

well, it was stopped at the door BUT they sent a separate notification (sans sender and subject info) for each one that was quarantined and, as a (then) new employee, I had to check each one to be sure it wasn't something important - of course for each message they made you click through several screens before you saw the VIAGRA AT LOW PRICES and then it took two screens to delete each email. I could go on and on about the "systems" at that place but, to their credit, they tried to emulate Google in employee perks - free coffee, soda, popcorn, foosball tables in the lunchrooms and frequent treats brought in by the managers. We could work remotely as long as the work got done and the privilege wasn't abused. They recommended working remotely if you were sick.

Thread-Topic: General Dynamics - McChord AFB

I know from nothing about these headers but can't believe this is real as it's on the wrong coast (for me) for one, and sent to an address I don't use for job hunting. I have to think it's some sort of scam.

Suggestions as to possible validity/scam, etc?
