Raspy vocal cords, constant throat clearing, sharp pain - doc says it's reflux.

Propulsid (Cisapride) works best.

I hate the way everyone just recommends meds for esophageal reflux and that's it. I was diagnosed with this a number of years ago. They gave me prescription Pepcid (it's now over the counter), but I swear it did weird things to my system.

You want to get rid of it? Here's what worked for me:

1. Lose weight

2. CHANGE your diet to a rather bland diet for 6 -9 months at least. Talk to your local health dept and get pamphlets on bland diets. So, you like spicy food, coffee, cigarettes, or spaghetti? It's only for 6 months! Try it - it may chance your life.

This worked for me. I still can't drink wine (like a bomb being dropped into my stomach) or eat much tomato sauce; but I'm fine with everything else.

If you have lots of sinus problems... get your teeth checked very carefully out by a GOOD dentist!!
