iPhones on Family Plan
#1
I'm currently on the FamilyTalk Nation 700 Rollover plan with two phones. Was thinking about upgrading the phones to iPhones. Do I pay $30/phone for the data plan or is it just $30 for both phones? Anyone know if corporate discounts apply to the data plans?

You pay for a data plan for each phone. There are corporate plans for data, but *I* wouldn't call them corporate discounts.

Thanks for the info. My company has a discount rate (FAN) with ATT. I think I get like 22% off regular phone plans, but I'm not sure if it applies to the data plans. I guess I'll wait and see.

Corporate discount does apply to the current data plans. It didn't for the original ($20) data plan.

I second the "no" on the data plans.

But if so, congratulations.

It works on the 3G data plan from what my colleagues have told me. The data plan costs them $24/month. They also get the 21% discount on their voice plan.

Great, Macphan.

I guess it's like full medical vs. HMOs.

As already stated - yes, $30 per phone. My discount (through employer) is only 15%. We have 3 phones on our family plan (2 iphones + 1 normal) and we share 1400 minutes but I am thinking of dropping that to 700 minutes. Currently the total bill for all 3 phones is ~$190 a month.

When I was with Alltel & had 3 normal phones and no discount (and 900 minutes a month), I was paying close to $120 because I had texts and internet on one of the phones.
