had I been a lefty I'd have certainly improved my chances of playing pro baseball. Not that I'm bitter or anything

People have "handedness" in their eyes as well. Hold two fingers up vertically in the air, and position a distant vertical object between them. Shut one eye at a time. If the object stays put when you close your left eye, you are right eyed. If the object stays put when you close your right eye, you are left eyed. Is anyone say left eyed, but right handed?

And since most people are, or were forced to be, right handed, handshakes traditionally take place with the right hand.
