Getting email off of Back-up??

I had an iMac running SL and a MBP also running SL using Apple Mail on both Macs. I since have sold the iMac and am down to the MBP only. Before selling the iMac and nuking the HD I backed it up on an external HD. I have some emails on that iMac back-up that I would like to access. If there is anyway, how can I get to those emails using the MB?

Is there a file on the back-up I can pull in or some other method you would suggest?

If you were using POP, open the folder with your Mail account name in: /Users//Library/Mail

Import in Mail will do the job nicely.
