Mag Safe adapter ?

I put a couple of layers of heat shrink over one I had.

It was difficult to get it over the connector.

It helped, but eventually it failed.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th one.

Replaced by Apple, or did you have to buy them. I'm curious if they consider this a design flaw, or excessive use, like mentioned above.

I have to inspect the magnetic end on mine now, with all this discussion of the problem.
