What to do with 13 Flashdrives?
#1
I picked up a pile of lost and found flashdrives at a university surplus auction. The price was right, but I didn't really need them.

Any suggestions for a project? I've seen a few tutorials at instructables, but how many lego flashdrives do you need?

BTW, there are 13 drives, ranging from 128 MB to 512 MB, several different brands.

Worst case, I can give them away to my students...

Hey, is there a way to make a poor man's flash drive cluster?

Your students would love to get them...

Set up some kind of reward for performance and make it mean something! Use the first one through the door or just throw them up in the air and have a scramble!!!

However, your students will thinks these small drives are trash!!!

Just please, please, please FORMAT/Erase them before you give them to students ! Many of them have some sort of pr0n on 'em. We don't want to see your mug in the newspapers.

If you didn't need them, then any price > zero was too much.

I doubt if many students would be that thrilled with a 512 MB drive these days.

Craft little tiny pitchforks and torches for them...then you'll have a flash mob!

Definitely RAID!

Or 13 bootloaders for hackintoshes. Just need one large one to install from, the rest can be boot drives.
