iPhone 4.0 Update....
#1
Just got this email from MacWorld:

Apple doesn't rest on its laurels. Less than a week after introducing the iPad, the company plans to give reporters a sneak preview of the next major version of the iPhone OS this Thursday.

Macworld doesn't rest on its laurels, either. We'll have live coverage of everything Apple announces, starting at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, April 8th

Follow the Macworld coverage

What does Apple have planned for the iPhone OS 4.0 update. We won't know for certain until Thursday. But our editors have ideas about what they'd like to see when Apple rolls out the software update.

Any possibility we will be able to delete, from within the iPhone, things we have downloaded using it? Or will we always have to hook up to the mothership and pray to iTunes?

Imagine being able to enable WiFi only when you're using specified applications! Or being able to re-sort an iTunes playlist! Or something like a Location Manager!

I think you can delete anything on the iPhone/iPod touch itself. What am I missing?

I know I can delete podcasts from the 'Phone by swiping left-to-right, and hitting Delete, when in the list of 'casts.

You can delete apps by touching and holding the icons until they jiggle like Pammie and touching the X that appears in the upper left corner.

But I don't know if any of that comes back when you sync.
