I'm trying out the latest version of Capture One. You are supposed to be able to tether various cameras via usb and have the shots show up on your computer (and saved there) as you shoot. I've installed the demo and attempted to tether my Rebel XT (which is listed as a supported camera). Capture One brings up a message that it's attaching the camera, but it just stalls. The program doesn't crash or freeze. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

perhaps your camera is in the wrong mode.
or something like that.
might need to pull the battery to fully reset the camera.
just guessing.

Great guess. I went into the menu of the XT and one of the tabs has a choice between print and pc connection. Changed the setting to pc and connection was instantaneous. Thanks.

Why use (and pay for) CO? I use the Canon Utilities that came with the camera with good results when tethered.
