There are no snakes that can eat people (unless MAYBE a baby or small child). The main reason for this is that our shoulders are too broad for them to stretch around.

And, also, keep in mind, you can't really accurately judge the size of those snakes. They're not as big as people make them out to be. Seriously.

You shouldn't be creeped out by them.

All those photos are done in a way that makes the snakes look bigger than they really are.

Steph, it's difficult -- fear of snakes is sort of a conditioned thing... the fangs were just a bit too much for me, I think.

Edit: oh, and FWIW... I actually don't mind snakes ordinarily... even boas and pythons, though I'd prefer smaller.
