Point and shoot with good macro
#1
Mrs. Acer is asking for a point-and-shoot camera with "better macro." I think her current camera, a Canon A590, is just fine, but who am I to turn down a directive from the Mrs. to shop for new technology?

Any stand-outs for macro in the P&S crowd? She'll want it to stay smaller than a prosumer model, but it does not have to be super tiny.

I have a Panasonic LX3 which may have come down in price significantly with the release of a new . I have gotten some amazing closeups of the pets, flowers, even better facial photography then anyone else.

http://www.lx3-photography.com/ is really a nice sampling if you go past the first page of reviews for the new lx5.

Love my Canon PowerShot SD780IS...very good macro and beautiful HD video. Reviews suggest this model is superior to later models.
