"Apple says it's going to snow!"

"Apple says it's going to snow!"

My wife says to me, the other day...

What she meant (I had to decode it in my head) On her iPhone's Weather App, she checked the forecast. She's checking it regularly, we rarely get snow here so she's watching more closely than usual.

So anytime she learns something from an app on her iPhone, this is her quirky way of communicating it.

Not

'''the iPhone says..."

..but...

"Apple says...!"

I love it.

Disclosure: she works at Microsoft, XBox division, which makes the phrase even more charming. And English isn't her native language (Japanese born, from Yokohama) Her dialect and vocabulary is otherwise flawless, American-sounding broadcast English, but certain off-beat word combinations pop up that make me laugh, this is one of them.

And she likes her iPhone, though email, Skype, and the Weather app, are probably the only three apps she uses constantly.

only the billionaires are not allowed to use Apple products at home, despite Apple being a major business unit within the company (though not a major part of overall revenue).

So how long before Apple does decide the weather?

an old GF used to mix up words-my favorite was "dramastic"; a combination of drastic and dramatic. I still use it.
