I knew he had another strip - but never really looked for it. I just find Lio mildly amusing with the
occasional home run.
His other strip is called "Heart in the City" - and is actually quite excellent. It is also current, from 1999.
I recommend you start here (it is a rare opportunity to see strips back to their origin - at least online, though it's happening more in the past few
months as the syndicates compete to get you and their online ads together)
I'm a pretty big fan of comic strips (not comic books, though I once was... MAD was the only one that I stayed
with until Warner Bros bought them, the ads, as well as the die-off of so many of the original "gang."
I treasure the oldies I have, including a few in bags from the 50s...
But getting back to strips - this makes the 5th strip recommendation I've made in the forum. Usually
it is for great strips that aren't well known - but every now and then one has remained hidden from
me (perhaps it is in the paper, but I don't get them anymore... it's just too much crap to throw away) and
that would be the case here -- you may already know of it. Still - it's fun to be able to start over.
I've made some friends in the world of strips (though Tatulli is not among them) and just generally enjoy
the way cartoonists tend to think, both in the strip and conversationally.
