Do they actually work at keeping spammers out? I have not seen evidence of an admin doing work like that for a couple of years.

Just teasing, I know it wasn't you who banned me. I was probably legitimately banned, as I was at war with that jerk who kept changing his name... Wow, can't think of any of his handles right now, but anyway, I was posting a lot of crazy pics and also posting a lot of insults that I think pissed someone off over there that had the power to make "Rick-o" go away. I did get another account going under "Rick- o Barred", but by that time I was spending more time here at the MR Forums like everyone else, so I rarely visited there after the banishment.

Me either, unfortunately. I get really pissed off when I've got 20 emails on 20 different spams.

I figured Rick got banned some time ago. I don't think they admin that forum except in rare occasions. Banning doesn't work either as people just come back under a different name and IP.

Actually, I don't think having a political side to a technical forum is such a good idea. You can see the spill over to the other side all the time.
