The protesters at the WI Capitol were told the doors were closing at 4pm today for cleaning. Protesters have spent every night in the Capitol since the rallies started. Now you have to understand , the Capitol Police were not part of the exemption for police, firefighters, and State Patrol. (Nor were the UW University Police) They were going to lose their collective rights, too. So they started telling protesters they would have to leave at 4pm. They would hope everyone would voluntarily leave. No one has been arrested through all these weeks of protest.
To add more fun to the mix, police officers (off duty) from Wisconsin Police Unions have joined the crowd and are declaring they are spending the night, too.
The Capitol Police have backed down and said everyone can spend the night. Power to the People!! :patriot:
Supposedly, Senator Dale Schultz-R has declared he is voting no on the budget bill. I hope this is true. He did try to compromise with an amendment but Walker said no. Only need 2 more senators to Kill the Bill.
It's still a long shot though.
