MacBook battery, 3 years old, 1354 cycles
#1
no kidding. Even Apple Genius was very surprised when he saw this (and back then it only had 950 cycles)

right now it just drained again (was unplugged for the past 3-4 hours). But full capacity is still 86%!

last time I posted this, I think at 1000 cycles or so, some of you had doubts the data is real. 1) it is not faked. 2) this Macbook has a sleep sensor issue, and wife also forgets to plug it in. it usually gets 1-2 cycles per day, so in 3 years, 1354 cycles sounds about right.

Amazing.

Maybe it is BETTER to cycle every day!

if you don't use it, you lose it.

Well, the way manufacturing works is; most units will fail after XXX cycles; a few will fail in fewer than XXX cycles and be covered by warranty; and, fewer still will last many more than XXX cycles, and make their owners delightfully happy. And, oddly proud.

Congrats on being at the happy end of the bell curve, s-t! Electro-Leader!

That's more than one cycle a day...

Serious battery studliness.

I never got through more than 400ish cycles on any of my MBP batteries. I generally drained it down and went back up 3 times a day. That was on the old pre unibody. We will see on this new unibody, but thus far, I have to charge it about half as often as the old one.
