Great movie. Difficult. Good on ThisTV for running it, but I'd watch the whole thing in widescreen and uncut.

Thanks for the heads-up, watching it now. One of my fave books and films. John Hurt and Richard Burton are just great, and Suzanna Hamilton ... you can see why Smith falls for her. =)

I watched it.... Well done. As i have already said, ThisTV is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. They ran Cleopatra earlier and it was in anamorphic. A quick change on my tv and bingo, a letterboxed movie. Liz Taylor was stunningly beautiful.

Quite. Lousy movie IMO, but she was astonishingly gorgeous in it.
