World B Free was a cool name and he was and awesome 3point shooter.

Ron Artest has a unique chemistry that helped bring his team, the Lakers, two Championships being at the right place at the right time. Artest plays full court Basketball.

He is a unique human being that has addressed his liabilities and improved his lot. ymmv :priate:

A person can not live on their laurels and or should they be held hostage to past mistakes.
The fan player incident was a dynamic that ensued from the cattle routine of the arena.

Forgiveness is not just a christian word it is a way of life . . . imho *(:>*:priate:

He uses his earnings to help his family, extended family and extended communities.
Perfection is a fantasy . . . getting better at being a person is a lifetime endeavor *(:>*

Right now there are many ex NBA players and news photographers that just might be lucky to hold
Artests jock strap... ymmv :priate::devil:

David Sterns reply to my email *(:>*

Dear Rudie:

Thank you for writing to the National Basketball Association with your concerns about the proposed three-team trade between the New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Lakers. NBA Commissioner David Stern released the following statement:

“Since the NBA purchased the New Orleans Hornets, final responsibility for significant management decisions lies with the Commissioner's Office in consultation with team chairman Jac Sperling. All decisions are made on the basis of what is in the best interests of the Hornets. In the case of the trade proposal that was made to the Hornets for Chris Paul, we decided, free from the influence of other NBA owners, that the team was better served with Chris in a Hornets uniform than by the outcome of the terms of that trade.”

We appreciate your interest in the NBA.

Sincerely,

NBA Fan Relations

Well of course I sent him a very cordial and polite message :priate:

Attention David Stern,
Your blocking this trade defies common sense and makes clear that you are the problem within the NBA. The Small Markets will be greatly damaged by your egocentric tampering. You have also created more distrust in an already diminished NBA market.

Treating players like cattle and like you own them is despicable. I hope you are removed from the NBA and sent to Iran to manage a prison team in the near future.

You are the epitome of what is wrong with American Labor Management. Your "Machiavellian" style of doing business defines you.

I am ashamed to have you identified with the NBA and American Sports. You appear to be nothing more than a prostitute for special interests and yourself .
