Another Samsung ad poking fun at Apple consumers

The first Samsung commercial in that vein was much funnier. The one they ran during the Super Bowl is the commercial equivalent of "The Mummy Returns," i.e., more, louder, dumber, not fun any more...

:agree:
My thoughts exactly. I really liked the first couple and thought they were very clever. This one was bloated and boring.

Disney's Cinderella 3 and Alladin 3 come to mind.

They're just another in a long of companies looking to find the holy grail that is a way to dispel the 'got to have it' aura of cool that surrounds a popular Apple product. Bash the idea of the product before it's made. Bash the product once it is made. Bash the price. Bash the users.

Most times it's not done too well, to be generous. Most of the Samsung ads have had a whiff of desperation to them ("I've been 'Samsunged' again"? Really?) I really think the OTT Super Bowl commercial had the potential to gain traction except for the actual product itself. Who wants a device that needs a stylus (and some kind of special stylus at that) to work as intended?

Maybe a little less time at the ad agency, and a little more in the R&D department is what's needed.

Plus, The Darkness is a douchebag band.

I've never lost a pen so keeping track of a stylus should be no problem.

Exactly. Steve's whole deal was not to need a stylus.
Yep. Here's Steve back in 2007 telling us WHY we don't need a stylus. He was right. Again.

As a (puny) AAPL holder, that commercial doesn't scare me one bit.

Yeah, because being able to pop open a pdf, scribble notes on it or sign it and email it back would be useless.
I never have to do that.

I'd love one of these, but they won't do 4G on Tmobile... Going to get the Nexus instead.

I hope you're not implying that can't be done on an iPhone. Because that would be incorrect.
