I've tried multiple rounds of batteries, and no green LED and no connection.
My Magic Trackpad seems to be dead.

Does it have a power button on the side like the keyboard? I know when I change batteries in my keyboard I have to press the power button, too. If you use it with a Mac that is still under Apple care it is covered, too.

Also, the thing will balk at anything but the fullest of batteries, so make sure you're using fresh ones and not just batteries that test in the low end of the "good" range.

Did you put the batteries in facing the correct way? To me, they go in opposite of "normal". I've made that mistake more than once.
