Sorry about your loss rob. I have a humorous story about my 33rd birthday.

I volunteered as a lector at my local Catholic church. The Pastor was a very cool, laid back guy who loved to chat with you during Mass, even up on the altar.

During Mass, he whispered to me "I heard today is your Birthday. Happy Birthday! How old are you?"

"33," I replied.

Father's eyes suddenly turned downward.

"Oh, 33 was a very bad year for Jesus."

I had to control my laughter, lest the elderly Church ladies in the front pew shoot both of us with disapproving glances.

rob, that's a tough one. I had a friend who died at 33. Healthy, active runner. Finished his daily mile jaunt around the track where he was a high school coach and dropped dead, leaving a wife and two young daughters.

All through my 20s I had this feeling that my life would take off in middle age, and it did, starting with getting laid off at Apple, which was devastating at the time. Things got really good after that.

You AND Steve!
Yeah, me and Steve, only he went out rich and young, in a blaze of glory. I'll probably go quietly, old, and poor.
