I tried to watch an episode of 'Breaking In'...it felt like a really bad ripoff of 'Leverage' without any character development at all.

Johnny Mnemonic ? I enjoyed that one, the dark post-economic techno-apocalypse of the Western hemisphere played in contrast to the glittering financial and power success of the Far East. The (computer) tech is dated, but fits within a (William) Gibsonian vision of a dystopian near-future.
