Geez! I need to wake up. I thought the title of the post was "Can I rent access to my wife to my neighbors."
That's illegal too but possibly more profitable.

Profitability depends on the quality of service provided by the wife...

Besides Bitorrent what about kiddie porn or other illegal activity.

While you're at it, ask the neighbors over to watch Major League Baseball and charge them $5 a head.

Yes, what's the worst that could happen? Just years of time in jail resulting from an activity that was netting $20/month.

Talk of jail time is silly. Violating Comcast's ToS is a civil matter between Comcast and Jerry.® Regarding illegal activity of any kind, if the Feds come knocking its no different than roommates or a family sharing a connection via a router. They're going to investigate and find out who among those using the connection was doing the hypothetical illegal things.

If you had roommates who were not close personal friends that you trusted to never do illegal things on the internet, would the same worry prevent you from sharing the same Comcast connection? If so, then don't do it with the neighbors. If not, then perhaps you're willing to risk Comcast finding out and filing a civil suit against you for the damages they suffered as a result of your ToS violations.
