I manage about 30 lists and am not seeing any sudden increase in apparent hacked Yahoo accounts (it goes up and down but it seems quiet at the moment.)
Almost always ends up being a poor password problem-- I sent them links to a "worst password" article or two.

I lost a Hotmail account due to this. It had been so long since I opened the account, I forgot all the secret handshakes. I couldn't prove it was mine. I opened up another account, but I have no entries in my contact list. I do still get e-mails. I think the solution is to delete the entries in the contact list, though my Mac mail account has never had that problem and I do have a contact list in it. Maybe it's just Yahoo and Hotmail.
