Anyone catch the "hacked" Superman Returns site?
#1
It's back to normal now but a couple of days ago I checked the Superman Returns site and it had been "hacked" by Lex Luthor. The homepage had scrawlings over the pictures and many of the wallpapers had been altered like this one:

I've been collecting the wallpapers to use for my screensaver so I'm glad I grabbed the images before they were replaced by the official ones.

"Hacked" or hacked?

They've got a publicity campaign based on Supes chasing around Lex Luthor all over the 'net while Luthor taunts him.

Yeah, good idea. I'm sure those jpegs will be collectible some day.

Yeah, maybe I can sell them on eBay. Smile

Wish I had thought to grab a screen shot of the homepage too. I thought it was a funny idea though they didn't seem to take it any further than the homepage and the wallpapers. Would have been cool if they had tweaked the trailers a little bit but I guess that was more effort than they were willing to put into it. Gotta save those bucks for the TV ads.

EDIT: The Google cached page is dated June 14th so if I check back in a few days maybe it will show up there. I know it was up for a least two days.

Maybe by Gene Hackman?

Heh heh. Good one. Mike and the 'bots seem to think it's funny too. Or is that Joel?

Y'know, I'm not sure, but I think it's Mike by the shape of his head.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Have you bought any of the Legend Films colorized movies with his commentary? "Reefer Madness" is hilarious as well as the others. And there's a Three Stooges DVD with all three (latter day) MST3K guys offering setups. I found that one in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart.
