Nice 24" 1080P matte screen monitor ~$100 shipped (refurb)

I was passing along info to friends on the Asus VE247H monitor we purchased earlier this year. It runs a little under $200 new. Has great features except poor volume on the speakers (I just don't use). But includes HDMI input so works with newest Macs without special adapters even though it doesn't have a display port connector.

Anyway, mwave has the refurbs for $100 off, or about $100 shipped:

Just posting in case anyone's looking for a nice monitor or two. If I were setting up a home machine, I'd sure be tempted to get two of these and a mac mini rather than the latest iMac.

This is not an IPS monitor tho is it? Too cheap to be an IPS anyway...

Note: though the screen is nice (TFT with LED backlighting), this is not a fancy IPS display, and I do not know whether there is a common failure that leads people to send these back in as refurbs. The one we have has been excellent, and it came with a full set of cables.

If you need color matching and calibration, etc., I think you'd be better off with a more advanced model.
