Black,

TIVO Basic. It came with several TIVO DVD Recorders such as the Toshiba RS-TX20 and provided basic TIVO guide services free of charge for the life of the product. TIVO Basic gave the TIVO DVD Recorder VCR-like recording features. You needed to upgrade to TIVO Plus to get the full set of TIVO features.

I'd love to see TIVO include TIVO Basic with its products and allow people to upgrade to fully feature TIVO services. Many people would be thrilled to just have the basic features. But, I understand why they discontinued it.

As crazy as it sounds, I still have my Toshiba RS-TX20 in operation. I had put it away for more than two years since my wife and I have FIOS and the multi-room DVR. However, we are in the process of moving and had a spare tube TV in the new place. So, I took the RS-TX20 out of retirement, connected a Channel Master digital to analog converter box and rabbit ears antenna to it.

Instant TV and TIVO Guide services. I'd upgraded the service on the RS-TX20 to TIVO Plus Lifetime shortly after I purchased it. SO, not only do I have that old TV operating, but it's got fully feature TIVO services, too. I'd forgotten how much I had stored on the TIVO when i took it out of operation. 50+ episode of Samurai Jack and a slew of other content.

At some point, we'll move our FIOS service over to the new place and I'll no longer need the TIVO. But, I'm inclined to keep it running anyway. It gives us another option for recording, even if it's only in standard def.

TIVO Basic. If that was included with new TIVOs, I'd consider buying one again.

Found a variety of cleaning supplies in the basement of our house after we moved in. Something I have never seen before or again was a box of Dawn soap-pads, about 4x6" each, filled with sections of dry Dawn soap that you just put in the water as start washing with. Excellent for camping!

Can't seem to find a picture anywhere.

EDIT: Dawn Wash 'n' Toss

Seems to be discontinued. Sad

Not sure what a male dance troupe has to do with this, but I'm sorry you haven't been able to locate them :-)
