Things are escalating there but most people on social media are talking about the Hostess collapse. That includes me :turbo:

I have family and friends in Israel. They are used to heightened tensions and some activity, but this latest round seems to be more intense. Stay safe, Suzanne.

PS: I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't understand space-time's comment.

You would have no problem understanding if you read Suzanne's comments on the other side...and that's all I'm going to say about that. (^_^)

Tel Aviv is my usual route. Most months I go 4 times and I was there for 6 days when Sandy hit NY/NJ due to airport closures. The everyday people are so warm, the food delicious and the scenery breathtaking. I hope that you are able to see Jerusalem Suzanne and enjoy your trip.

well, the ENTIRE thread should have been moved to the other side, right? it is about a military and political conflict after all, there is no tip or deal here.

Stay Safe!

Anthony Bourdain had back luck when he decided to visit Beirut.

Ditto. A ground incursion into Gaza is likely this weekend, which may also lead to suicide attacks within Israel:

This is independent analysis by Stratfor.com, not political. Stratfor also says that Hezbollah could possibly open up a second front if it sees the opportunity.

In other words, it's going to get more dangerous in the short term, not less.
