6"??? That's nothing. I hope we get only 6" in LongIsland.

DP said "a taste".

Cute houses DP!
Thanx! We have a beautiful street here even tho our community has only a marginally better reputation than Detroit. We are pretty tight knit on this street and we work hard to keep it that way. I tell folks I live in Pontiac and they look at me like I'm nuts. Then they see our neighborhood and they say, "Wow, I never knew houses like this were in Pontiac!".
LOL - so when you gonna shovel the walk in that beautiful Pontiac neighborhood...

Smile

I'm in Detroit proper and I just got done shoveling my walk so all the broke neighborhood guys will stop ringing the bell asking to shovel. Amazing price range - $10 or 15 - crazy. I felt bad, the guy that usually does it for me popped up - offered to do it for $6 and even went down to $5. I told him I needed the exercise and I actually was looking forward to doing it late last night when it was coming down. he did do my neighbor a few doors down so he at least made something for coming on the block.

I got out there to shoot the pic before I "spoiled" it by shoveling. We've since had a couple peaks of sunshine! But it's all closed back in again and the wind is now picking up and the drifting has started... We get a few shovelers here too but I was done before they got here.

About a foot here in eastern MA at 10:43 PM, and still coming down and blowing like crazy. Got to bundle up and take the dog recovering from ligament repair out on the leash—sheesh!

Stunning view outside, though.

Still have power, but it's flickering now and then. Taking flashlights to bed.
