How to download or make a video of a posted YouTube video?
#1
I vaguely remember if the user allows downloads of a video post in YouTube, you could download the video file.

If this is not the case, then How does one record a video posted on YouTube on the Mac? Similar to a screen or audio capture, but its a video capture with audio.

Its for a retirement iMovie and Im helping out a co-worker develop the presentation. I have the link to the video and there does not seem to be a download video option for the video posted.

Your help and or suggestions are appreciated

There are lots of Firefox extensions that will do this. I use this one: http://www.bestvideodownloader.com/

It works well or has so far.

1) Go to the Youtube video and copy the URL.
2) Go to keepvid.com, and paste the URL for the video in the download box. Click the download button.
3) Select the size of the video you want - I usually go for 720p or 1080p MP4 video files.
