G5 on an airplane?
#11
Some airlines still don't charge for checked bags.

The G5 will easily fit in a checked bag without paying an oversize charge if you have the right size luggage. Wrap it in a little bubble wrap. But you will be pushing overweight limits for some airlines because it weighs a bit less than 50 pounds. However, because you have the original box you may be just under 50 lbs. Stick the keyboard and mouse elsewhere and you should be good to go.

Height: 20.1 inches (51.1 cm)
Width: 8.1 inches (20.6 cm)
Depth: 18.7 inches (47.5 cm)
Weight (standard configurations): 44.5 to 48.8 pounds (20.2 to 22.1 kg) [probably with keyboard and mouse.]

~$25 one way isn't bad.

UPS ground should be under $50. It's $49 from Oklahoma to South Florida

If you have the original box, and bring it or ship it, just write a fake RMA number on it to feign disrepair.

Hey, I was taking a lot of pain pills when I hatched the tire rotation plan and I never did it. :-)
