Mario games on iPad?
#1
Are there any real Mario games for iPad? I searched in App Store but my kids say these games are not real Mario, they don't look like on DS

I haven't seen any. I think Nintendo (the owners of the Mario franchise) probably wants people to buy into their portable gaming platform (DS, DSi, 3DS, etc.) rather than play their games on other devices.

I see. I am not buying a DS, that is for sure.

Now any good clones, something that looks like Mario?

Lep's World

Lep's World 2 and possibly 3 are there as well... Kids love it... Kind of SMB's.

Soosiz is kind of SMB's as well...

I wish Sony would allow "Spyro" to into iOS!

My daughter loves the Lep's World games, too. They are quite similar to the Mario games, and really well done.

We have a funny app called, "iMario" (I think) that has a ton of the sound effects from the game. You just click on an icon and it plays the sound. Not a game, but fun for Mario fans. :-)

Nintendo has publicly stated they will NOT allow Mario or any of their other games to run on anything except Nintendo systems.

Yep, and their profits - and stock- are tanking.

They will be done a few years after RIM.

Too bad, really - I still think the Wii is far more creative a device than anything we've seen in years - including Apple.

Jailbreak + NES emulator.

On the Android side, you can find NES emulators on the play store, and you can even pair Wii controllers via bluetooth to play the games.

Nintendo needs to stop making consoles and just sell SMB and Zelda titles to all the consoles and mobile devices... Should / could be very profitable!
