As a west coaster, watching live TV at 4AM is out of the question. I recorded LOTS of Olympic coverage and watched at my convenience. I was able to stay away from news sites, but I'd find myself here accidentally some times and not once did this forum ruin my time-shifting experience.

Overall, I didn't see as much chatter about these games as I have in the past. Not only here, but on FB and a couple other online places I haunt.

Personally, I watched virtually none of the coverage and that seems to be the case for many of my friends and colleagues. Not entirely sure why, but I just wasn't as drawn to them as I usually am.

I was thinking the same thing. I have to say that anytime there's a significant time differential I find it harder to get interested.

They have the broadcast rights thru 2020 so it likely won't get much better
