In one of the first episodes of The Walking Dead there were zombie rats I think but I haven't seen any further zombie animals since.
I really enjoy the show and I think it gets better and better (despite the things that don't make sense). The new girl added in the last episode is something of a looker. Hoping she turns out to be a good character. I've been wondering about this supposed sanctuary they seem to be moving towards. Without giving away too much does anyone know if it appears in the comic book series? Apocalyptic stories are always fun but they tend to get boring if the characters find a safe place to turn the tide. Falling Skies is starting to get that way for me. On another note, the new show Helix is quite exciting. Not quite zombies but close. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2758950/

According to Max Brooks' definitive works on the subject (Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z), yes, zombies do freeze solid if it gets cold enough. So you're safe...
... until spring. [insert scary Vincent Price laugh here]

Too far South. What you want is Fergus Falls, MN! (Ordinarily, I wouldn't have posted this, but I actually know someone who is moving to Fergus Falls in June, presumably when the glaciers begin retreating.)

It appears we are roughly between volume 9 and 10 although the story line doesn't match perfectly with the comic. That puts us half way through the story so lots more good stuff to come hopefully.

By the picture, it looks as if they're forecasting Sasquatch on Friday.
