For the past month my treadmill audio book has been "100 Years of Solitude" which has held in my memory as one of the best books i've ever read. for some reason it only came available in audiobook format in the last year. next in the queue is "Love in a Time of Cholera" which I have never read.

I wouldn't audio book it, this is pure reading pleasure; there are times that you have to pause and re-read a section just for the joy of it.
"Love in a Time of Cholera" and Nabokov's "Ada" are quite similar in themes, although the styles are quite different. There are cultural puns that both authors like to use; for instance, cholera, "colera" has a double meaning in Columbia, that is best compared to the English term "Choleric Temper".
