How do I send an image w/ Yahoo Groups?
#1
i have a yahoo groups for people who follow my music and i want to alert them to an anthology album project i'm involved with. the cover is beautiful and i would like to include it in the email.

i don't seem to be able to compose an email with cut/paste. is it possible put a link to the jpg at image shack that can be accessed by the email when open? how is stuff like this done.

on this list i have heretofore banned html and attachments but have changed the group settings temporarily for this announcement.

You can definitely include the URL (web address) of an image that's hosted at image shack or whereever. If your group settings permit it, you should also be able to just attach the image to the e-mail you send. There should be an "Attachments" button/link in the e-mail composing screen in your Yahoo group.

i've changed the settings to allow attachments but there is no attachments option in the post window.

yahoo allow Rich Text. in the html instruction is this:

A special note on image tags

To use an image tag in your message, you must specify a height and width for the image (for example: ). Images without specific height and width attributes will not display.

is this relevant to what i'm trying to do?
