Is anyone else having problems paying their bill online? Their site lets me login, but when I try to submit payment, it logs me out and tells me my username & password combo is wrong.

I called them about this yesterday, and the customer service rep said that the online bill payment system was known to be hosed. He said to try it today or tomorrow to see if things are fixed. I guess they're not.

I pay most of my online bills directly from my bank's website - I can pay several bills at once.
Is there an advantage with paying directly to PG&E?

Definite advantage to pay on the site of the provider. If you do the payment via the provider or recipient's web site, the bill is often considered paid the day you pay it. If you paid the bill via your bank's web site, it may take multiple days for the recipient to post the payment. The advantage kicks in only if you have a habit of paying bills very close to the due date. Not much of a benefit if you pay bills early. Robert
