I appreciate those who have written or donated. It would be really great if we could help make this happen.
This is an open invitation to write a letter to Dr. Hayden, CEO of Enoch Pratt Free Library, in support of renaming a library in honor of our late Jackie Watts aka Gutenberg. Thanks to those participating in this effort.
Write to:
Carla D. Hayden, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer, Enoch Pratt Free Library

Dear Dr. Hayden,
I am writing in support of the idea of renaming the Southeast Anchor Library in honor of Jacqueline Watts.
Jackie devoted endless hours of her time meeting with groups and individuals throughout the Southeast corridor of Baltimore City, encouraging, cajoling and fighting for what would become Baltimore's first regional library designed to meet the needs of children and adults in the 21st century.
She was present when ground was broken for the Southeast Anchor Library on September 21, 2005, and was there two years later when SEAL first opened to the public, on May 14, 2007.
Since Jackie was central to the creation of the library, and after it opened continued to advocate for and publicize its programs and events, I feel that renaming it in her honor would be a wonderful way to honor Jackie's legacy and to celebrate her achievements.
Sincerely,
