I figure if I never watch a "will it blend" video, will they eventually go away? It just seems like a waste of product.

I wonder about the sapphire crystal as well.

It's scratch resistance is not the same as impact resistance.

It's not about destroying the objects. It's just an ad for the blender.

I have one; it's a fantastic blender, but i'll be keeping my iDevices on the counter, thanks.

Sapphire is very hard, so it is next to impossible to scratch. It will shatter, though.
