How to stop squirrels from chewing up Yaupon Holly tree?
#1
We have a Yaupon holly tree in front of our house, bordering our driveway and squirrels love tearing it up every season. They not only go after the red berries (or whatever they are), but they chew up the leaves and branches.

It makes a mess of the driveway below.

Any reasonable suggestions on how to get rid of the squirrels?

Thanks.

squirrel repellent.
Pellet rifle
Hungry raptors.

Our back yard at ground level is squirrel free when the pups are out after my chunky little Chihuahua, Izzy, caught and killed three squirrels a couple of years ago. Obviously the word's out. Fortunately for the tree rats, trees are within a short jump when the dogs are released.

Is there a raptor/falconry club nearby? Seriously. They're very effective hunters.
