New Music app question: view all songs by artist?
#1
In former iterations of the iOS Music app, when you selected an artist you would see a list of the albums by that artist and at the top of that list there was an option to view all songs by that artist.

I can't find that functionality in the new app. I really liked this view because sometimes I like to shuffle through an artist's entire catalog on my phone, not just a single album or playlist. Any suggestions, Music gurus?

With Apple Music, when in doubt, tap.

Tap Artist picture, album picture, song name, etc. Just tap!

Anway, here is how you do it:

1. Scroll to the artist you want to shuffle.

2. Tap on the artist's picture.

3. This will start playing all the artist's songs in sequential order, from the first album you have to the last.

4. To shuffle, tap on the little Now Playing strip close to the bottom of your device's screen.

5. Tap the shuffle symbol. That's it. This will shuffle your artist.

To confirm, you can tap on the little hamburger to the right of the skip next symbol to bring up the Up Next screen. This will show you "Now Playing" and then "Up Next."

I believe the Up Next menu is limited to showing you 20 songs at a time that are coming "up next" but rest assured that your entire album collection by this artist will be shuffled.

HTH!

By the way, you can also use Siri:

"Shuffle the Who"

"Shuffle U2"

"Shuffle Weird Al Yankovic"

"Shuffle Miles Davis"
