Selling Verizon MiFi—Do I Need to Remove SIM Card?
#1
Account is closed. Customer has a SIM card of his own. Do I need to remove mine?

If the buyer has their own SIM card, why not keep the current card?

Well, the buyer spent a lot of time while I waited fiddling with his card (he wanted to 'pair' the MiFi with his Android phone. He finally got it to work, while I cooled my heels, and then said he wanted to keep my SIM, too, in case of problems. I said fine, took $5 less than the $35 I was asking, because I didn't have a five, and headed home for dinner.

I called Verizon after posting here, and asked if I needed to pull the SIM card. The CS person said no. So no worries, I guess.

Verizon should cancel the SIM, if you have canceled the account, but there's no reason for the buyer to need your SIM card. Doesn't make any sense.
