Aren't CO detectors supposed to be mounted fairly low unlike smoke detectors, or is that just Radon.

It's interesting that it works with Z-wave though.

I welcome the overlords of smart devices to work with smartphones.

Just radon. The carbon monoxide molecule is 28 grams per mole, while the oxygen molecule is 32 grams per mole. My carbon monoxide detector is mounted right next to my thermostat.

I wonder if that detector has a 10 year lithium battery. This is what California code requires now.

No go for me since my local fire regulation requires all installed non-hardwired detectors to contain sealed 10-year lithium batteries.
