weird... Sears advertising on Craigslist
#1
So, I'm looking for a dishwasher (see yesterday's thread), and I notice that a Sears in RI is using CL for new and/or returned merchandise. I really hope Sears sticks around, and maybe this will help them in some small way, but it just seemed weird. Will Target be next?

Is it a regular Sears store, or one of their franchised Sears Hometown and Outlet stores? The latter are usually independently owned and operated with Sears providing merchandise to be sold.

Then the advertising decision to post on CL was made by an independent operator, not Sears itself. May not mean anything for the Sears brand itself.

I got an email the other day my "craig's list box" was full. I have never been on the website and there is no "box". I knew it was spam but find it interesting what the Spammers go thru to get you to open email.

A few of the local pawns put ads on CL here. Don't think it does them much good since the photos they use and their prices are a dead giveaway. A local franchise wouldn't be much different from the resellers who restock at auctions.

No! About 5 years ago was working in a hometown store. The district manager for the northwest area thought it drum up business. The only problem was thereare so many hometown stores craigslist looked like a Sears ad.
